This is the last of 3 articles in the diet coke mentos phenomenon article series. At this point I couldn't help but brag to you about some of my own diet coke mentos experiments and the laughs that they have resulted in. Hopefully they inspire you to make your own video great and in the end I will even tell you how you can win some money while your having fun.
I have created 5 diet coke videos to date.
One of my friends had my video camera, so we used our digital camera to shoot, my wife was taking the videos, the first two she held the camera on the side.. to get the height of the sprays, which of course resulted in the video being displayed sideways.
These can be seen here http://www.dietcokementoschallenge.com the next 2 videos we shot beside our pool with tall trees in the background, in these my 3 year old daughter participated, by breaking the cotton which holds the mentos out of the diet coke, these videos were great fun to make, you can see them here http://www.dietcokementoschallenge.com .The last diet coke video I made, was an experiement with a balloon to see what would happen, when dropping 5 mentos into a 2 litre bottle of diet coke and then putting a party balloon on top. the results were a complete failure, but still great fun. Rocket bike. I will be taping 2 X 2 Litre bottles of diet coke to my daughters wiggles push bike. then breaking the cotton which suspends the mentos above the diet coke fluid to create a big spray out the back of the bottles to force the wiggles pushbike forward. this should be great fun. Diet coke Pop Gun I will work out a way to use the mentos and diet coke as a propellant to shoot table tennis balls from a cylinder attached to the 2 litre bottle of diet coke. Diet coke mentos trip wire. I will set up between one of my doorways leading into my garage, a small cotton tripwire, once stepped on by one of my soon to be non-friend friends, once stepped on , this will drop the mentos into the diet coke with will result in spraying my friend with diet coke.
